Fresh Sound has confirmed its vision and strategy for our Sunset process scheduled for completion by June 30, 2027. We are committed to a transparent and thoughtful process and have outlined some key dates in our decision making process below. Considerations for Sunset grants are by invitation only.
Sunset Process as of January 21, 2026:
- March 3: Trustee meeting to determine final grants for select organizations. Notices and calls to follow.
- March-May: Initial Trustee calls with prospective Sunset Strategy grantees.
- June: Annual Meeting to determine organizations to recieve Sunset Letter of Inquiry (LOIs). Organizations notified of LOIs and deadlines following meeting.
- July 17th: LOI deadline
- Week of September 28: Trustee calls with each organization who submitted a LOI.
- November 11-13: Annual Grantmaking Meeting to determine Sunset Strategy grants. Organizations notified following meeting.
